Welcome to join us for the weekly CSSA at HMS Aerobics Club! Every week we are having aerobics class and training under the guidance of a professional trainer.

* Who can join: This club open to Harvard Medical School Chinese students, faculty, staff, alumni, their friends and families.

Worburn Asian Culture Center.

Brief biosketch of Xiaodong Wang: Dr. Xiaodong Wang is the Director of National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing, he is also professor in U.T---Southwestern, investigator in HHMI and member of the National Academy of Sciences, USA. He published about 50 papers in journals with high impact factors since 1996 including Cell, Nature and Science. He is the most famous Chinese scientist in the biological field.

To celerate summer, our next event for the social mixer series will be themed Mix Your Own Margarita

what is provided- top shelf liquor, fresh herb/fruit for smashing, homemade guacamole, pro bar tool set, tried&true recipes
what you need to bring- you, creative and thristy, read to shake. Optional: if you have hot samba music to pair the drink, bring it on!

We will setup a volleyball net on the lawn of quad on Independence day.
A test run has been done last week and it went great.

Whether you have missed the Independence Day fireworks or simply want to watch another one, you can join us on our fireworks trip to Canobie Lake Park on Saturday, July 7th, 2007 (07-07-07 or 777).

Take a cruise, ride some coasters, watch the sunset and fireworks.

Canobie Lake Park
Location: Salem, New Hampshire
Direction: I-93 North Exit 2 in New Hampshire
Travel Time: 35-40 minutes

Regular Price: $28 at the gate ($18 after 5PM)
Discounted Price: $24 at Harvard perks
$22.5 (for day pass) at the HR or perks of BWH, DFCI, Children's, MGH and BIDMC (Please buy it if you want to arrive earlier than 5PM.)

Tentative Schedule:
Registration will end at 5PM of July 5th. Car pools will be arranged based on the collected information.
On July 7th, we will meet in front of NRB (New Research Building) at
Longwood Medical Area at 4:00PM and leave sharply.
Arrive at the gate around 5PM.
We will take a group picture at the gate at 5:05PM.
Buy the after-5PM $18 tickets and have fun.
Sunset will be around 8:30 while the fireworks will be around 9:30. Heading back around 10PM and make home before 11PM for sure.

Dear All,

To create an informal setting for people to hang out, have fun and get to know each other, we’d like to start a monthly series of social mixers events for the CSSA community. The events will generally be held on a weekday night. Participants pay for their own cost and are welcome to bring friends. We will have varied party themes, starting with wine tasting next month. Future themes may include poker game, TV marathon, and expedition to local restaurants.

Our kickoff event will be a tasting of californian red wines. We will sample the famous sytles of californian reds- carbernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, zinfandel, syraz, discuss their virtues with fellow scientists, and finish off with a blind tasting. Due to space limit, please RSVP to jackiehua.social@gmail.com if you’d like to join and include the number of guests you intend to bring. Please also expect pay around $10 each person for the wine and space renting cost.
